"Urban Distress" is a six-photo series born out of my frustration with the lack of artistic expression in my "normal job" at the start of 2024, primarily involving photographing properties for a real estate company in São Paulo. My camera and computer overflowed with images from various locations across the city, and I yearned to infuse them with a more personal touch.
Given my limited spare time for personal artistic pursuits, I chose to intervene in something that had become an integral part of my daily life, whether by choice or not. Thus, the six-part digital intervention on pictures of São Paulo, Brazil was born. It captures a blend of anguish, despair, and the challenges of navigating an unfamiliar environment while striving to cultivate artistry and make it my way of living.
